The charcuterie brand Thierry Schweitzer started up in 1999 in Alsace. Rapidly, other farmers joined the brothers Thierry and Clément Schweitzer, strictly respecting the same standards of production: open sheds with deep straw bedding or free-range farms, freedom of movement for the sows, and no painful mutilations for the piglets.
Thierry Schweitzer is an innovative concept originating from a family tradition of pig farming on straw, adapted for today’s demand, and working in partnership with consumer associations and animal welfare organisations.
The Thierry Schweitzer brand wins a Leadership in Pig Welfare Award recognising its commitment, transparency, performance and innovation in the field of animal welfare.
