Basic requirements (including group housing of sows throughout pregnancy) - commitment
Huangshan Huizhou Youyou Pig Development Co., Ltd rear a traditional breed of pig for their own branded products. They are committed to ensuring the conservation of the traditional local breed for the future generations. They already rear their pigs without teeth clipping and tail docking and do not use confinement stalls at any stage of rearing. They have been awarded a 1 star award while they make changes to the sow housing system to rear sows in small groups during the pregnancy period.
