Vion Foods UK Ltd was presented with a Leadership in Pig Welfare award in 2011 in recognition of their policy not to tail dock 1,200 pigs processed per week at their Brydock Farms.
In January 2013, Karro Food Group purchased Vion Food Group's UK pork division. Karro Food Group is one of Britain's leading pork processors supplying fresh pork, cured and cooked meats such as bacon and ham to retail, foodservice and manufacturing customers across the UK.
Since January 2013, Karro Food Group has also extended their welfare policy to stop teeth-clipping Brydock Farm pigs.
