The National Trust is a charitable organisation protecting and making over 350 houses, gardens and ancient monuments open to the public. With over 3.9 million members and 55,000 volunteers the National Trust caters for millions more visitors every year.
In 2009 the National Trust was awarded a Good Egg Award in recognition of their commitment to only source cage-free eggs. This was followed up in 2011 with a Good Chicken Award in recognition of the trusts commitment to source only higher welfare chicken meat across all their catering outlets.
