In March 2012, Compassion visited two of our Good Farm Animal Welfare Award winners’ farms in the UK and France to capture the joy that dairy cows express when they are let out of their winter housing for the first time each spring.
Thanks to OMSCO – Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative - in the UK, and Les2Vaches in France, Compassion was able to film the cows’ dance which is evidence of how pleased they are to be released from their indoor winter housing to their fresh pasture for spring and summer grazing.
As you will see from the videos below, the cows could not have been happier!
Just one week after posting the video of our OMSCO dancing cows, the video received more than 550,000 views and this has now gone over 1 million!
