Lisa Yang Qing, China Research Manager
Lisa joined Compassion in September 2019 as China Researcher Officer. She holds Master’s degrees in Non-profit organisations and Civil Society Studies at the University of Kent, and in Applied Linguistics at Sichuan University in China. She is currently pursuing her Msc. in International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law at the University of Edinburgh.
Lisa has ten year's experience working in the NGO sector, raising awareness of animal welfare to the general public and implementing animal welfare practices in captive wildlife industries. She has organised and facilitated different education projects and international exchange programmes to build capacities of veterinarians, animal carers and academia.
In her role as China Research Manager at Compassion, Lisa supports various stakeholders in the livestock industry with technical expertise to help them improve their farming practices and achieve higher animal welfare, with a particular focus on poultry and pigs.
