Compassion launches Supermarket Survey

News Section Icon Published 08/03/2013

Compassion is extending its biennial UK Supermarket Survey across Europe for the first time this year, enabling European retailers to benchmark their farm animal welfare performance against their industry peers.

The survey scores and rates supermarkets on their performance in farm animal welfare for key species – laying hens, broilers, pigs and dairy cows and calves – as well as for their policies and overall approach to welfare.

It is a freecomprehensive and confidential gap analysis tool that helps you track your company’s performance against other European retailers.

Companies participating in the Supermarket Survey are automatically considered for Compassion’s Retailer Awards that form part of the annual Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards which will take place in October this year.

The Supermarket Survey will be launched in spring 2013, so if you want to be in the running for an award, look out for the Supermarket Survey or to find out more, please contact us today.
