Compassion works with all of the major UK retailers and several within key European markets. With the vast majority of the grocery retail share, supermarkets are critical partners in affecting improvements to farm animal welfare.

Since 2003, when Compassion launched its first Supermarket Survey, we have forged close working relationships with the major UK retailers. The awards stemming from the Survey allow for the recognition and celebration of the wide and varied work being carried out within the sector, not just of the fantastic work awarded through the Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards. The retailers share with us detailed information relating to their policy and performance and in return we offer tailor-made advice on improving standards as well as offering bespoke marketing and partnership opportunities. In Europe, we also work with big name brands such as Real on projects that help millions of farm animals every year.
