Elior Group joins cage-free movement

News Section Icon Published 07/12/2016

Elior Group has become the latest foodservice company to commit to only sourcing cage-free eggs for its global supply chain, which it intends to do by 2025.

Elior operates 18,600 restaurants and points of sale in 15 countries and serves around 4.4 million customers every day for the business & industry, education, healthcare and travel markets.

In the US, Elior had already committed to ensure the 10 million eggs sourced every year would be from open range systems, and now they have extended their cage-free pledge across their entire global operation.

Elior joins other foodservice providers Compass Group and Sodexo who made similar global cage-free egg announcements earlier this year.
