This year, we will be celebrating our 2026 Award winners at a ceremony in Brussels on 4 November 2026, marking a key moment to showcase leadership and progress on farm animal welfare. Applications are open until 3 July.

The awards programme recognises progress across different species, sustainability, innovation and marketing.

Species‑Specific Awards

These awards recognise companies improving welfare for individual species, and include:

In addition, our Cage‑Free Award celebrates companies taking the significant step of removing ALL cages from their supply chains.

With consumer demand for cage‑free products rising and the EU Commission reviewing its animal welfare strategy — including potential cage bans— this year’s ceremony will spotlight companies making clear, measurable progress toward these higher‑welfare systems.

Marketing and Innovation Awards

These panel‑judged awards recognise best examples of practical solutions that advance animal welfare and creativity in promoting higher welfare products to consumers.

Best Innovation Award – for projects or innovations that deliver measurable benefits to the lives of farm animals.
Best Marketing Award – for impactful consumer marketing campaigns promoting higher-welfare products, encouraging reduced consumption and championing nature-friendly farming.

Sustainable Food & Farming and Planet Friendly Awards

Celebrating leadership in transforming food systems to be more compassionate, sustainable and aligned with the needs of animals, people and the planet.

Sustainable Food & Farming Award – recognises producers and businesses that produce higher‑welfare meat, dairy and eggs in ways that achieve positive outcomes for animals, people and the planet (Corporate and Producer categories).
Planet Friendly Award – for companies making meaningful commitments to reduce the volume of animal‑sourced foods (meat, dairy, fish and eggs) in their supply chains and / or rebalance their protein portfolios within five years.
