Published 10/12/2020Today (10 December), Domino’s Pizza publicly committed to sourcing their chicken to higher welfare standards by signing up to the Better Chicken Commitment in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Andrew Bradley, CEO of Domino’s Pizza France said: "The decision to join the Better Chicken Commitment is in line with our previous actions in favour of animal welfare. Since 2017, and in partnership with our supplier, we have been working to improve animal welfare standards.
"We are delighted to be working with an NGO such as Compassion in World Farming, an internationally recognised expert in its field, with whom we will be able to continue our commitment over the coming years to better respond to the concerns of our customers.”
Domino’s Pizza Enterprise, the exclusive master franchise for the Domino's brand network in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium and Luxembourg, has already committed to go cage-free for their shell eggs and egg products by 2025, and now are furthering their welfare commitments with this latest pledge.
Compassion applauds this decision and urges other branches of the Domino's group to join the growing list of Better Chicken Commitment signatories who recognise the urgent need for broiler welfare improvement.

This comes at a time of great uncertainty for the food service sector but Domino’s is clearly responding the concerns of their customers and putting chicken welfare first.
